Is this really happening to me?<br /> <br /> I'm asking because these moments seem to be happening a lot lately for me.<br /> <br /> Let me paint a picture for you... 13 months ago, my<span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline;"> family and I were living pay check to pay check Like a lot of families, we were feeling pretty drained {emotionally AND financially}. My husband and I had made the decision for me to stay home with my children and work casual status as a nurse so I could be home with my three children. I was working one evening shift a week and every weekend. I was grateful that I was home during the week but, was missing out on my children's sporting events on the weekend and only had the evenings on the weekend to be home with my husband. If you are a nurse then you know how drained we are coming home from the stress of the hospital environment after a 8 or 12 hour shift.</span></div> <div> <div class="text_exposed_root text_exposed" style="display: inline;"> <span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline;"><br /> </span></div> </div> <div> <div class="text_exposed_root text_exposed" style="display: inline;"> <span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline;"> We were in survival mode, and just wanted to get out of this tunnel we were crawling through.<br /> <br /> A couple months before that, I was approached to join a Beachbody challenge group. I had always worked out at the gym and declined the offer but, purchased Insanity and started doing it at home. I was able to overcome my plateau and finally lose the last 10 pounds of my 60 pound weight gain with my daughter. I remained friends on Facebook with the Beachbody coach {Melanie Mitro} that had invited me to join her challenge group. One afternoon in January, I saw that there was going to be a live Combat workout with a Celebrity trainer  here in Pittsburgh at a Super Saturday event.  I wanted to do that live workout in the worst way so I contacted her and told her that I was signing up to come to the live workout.  I knew that she was a Beachbody coach but, I hardly knew what that meant at that time, but I attended the event and I was welcomed with open arms from everyone that was there. It was such a great experience! I watched stories of successful transformations and stories of others having Success with the business, and I thought, "Why not?" I can do that... I love to help people and I am very passionate about health and fitness!</span></div> </div> <div> <div class="text_exposed_root text_exposed" style="display: inline;"> <span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline;"><br /> I was done wishing our troubles away. I was done waiting for something to magically FIX everything for us. I did not want to be one of the 60 year old nurses still working the bedside and had no desire to return to school again to pursue my doctorate degree. So I saw the opportunity that was right in the palm of my hand, and I decided to take it.<br /> <br /> I'm not saying it was just as easy as that. It didn't happen overnight. There have been sacrifices, and there have been trials, and lessons {SO many lessons}, and there has been growth. But nothing worth having, and nothing INCREDIBLE comes easily, which is what I chanted to myself every day this past year. I saw this vision. I saw my family living comfortably for the first time in a LONG time. I saw the plan, and I BELIEVED in it. </span></div> </div> <div> <div class="text_exposed_root text_exposed" style="display: inline;"> <span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline;"><br /> </span></div> </div> <div> <div class="text_exposed_root text_exposed" style="display: inline;"> <span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline;">So I did it.<br /> <br /> Now I wouldn't post this type of thing for no reason. You all know I don't talk about this stuff. But sometimes, it's NECESSARY. It took someone showing me how POSSIBLE changing my life and my family's life was for me to understand. And since I am in the business of *paying it forward*, it was laid on my heart today to share this with you. Because on 3/6/14, I basically had my socks knocked off!
